Elect Stephen Korte - Sheriff of Pike County

To the Citizens of Pike County, Missouri:

I am campaigning in 2008 to be your next county sheriff.  During my 11 years of service in local law enforcement in the Pike County area, I have become passionate about serving and protecting the citizens of our county.  I believe more can be done to provide a safer environment and improvements can be made to better protect the citizens of Pike County. 

My background of military training and active duty service in a war zone has instilled a loyalty to my country and to its citizens. I pledge to maintain and pass on this same loyalty and dedication to all citizens of Pike County.  Any concerns about the possiblity of redeployment to active duty training while serving as Sheriff can be dispeled.  The Navy considers the head of a law enforcement department critical to homeland security, therefore ineligible for deployment.

Please take the time to learn more about the issues and priorities I intend to focus on if elected Sheriff of Pike County.  I will bring a new management approach to your Sheriff’s Office that insures you receive the best performance, effectiveness, and efficient productivity that your Sheriff’s Office has to offer.  My training, experience and management skills, in both local law enforcement and the United States Naval Reserve, are provided in detail on the Training page.
